Yokohama Avid Ascend GT Tires.

Just bought a set of stock size from Discount Tire.

The drive home my Fit felt alot better. Quiet on the road. Turning was super easy. Rough roads the tires took alot better than the garbage Firestones. Definitely recommended.

I'm shopping for a set right now and these are the tires my dealer recommended. How are you liking them after having had a week with them?

Tires are great. No issues at all. Nor do I expect any. Tires are smooth as silk. I'm not an aggressive driver. Go to Discount Tire. Discount Tire will have to order the 185/55/16 Yoko Avid GT's size since this is a size they don't keep in stock since there isn't a big demand for this size. Just so you know. Oh and stay away from Costco for tires. They're great for groceries. Lousy for tires.

I just replaced the stock tires with Avid Ascend GTs. Hard to get- my local tire chain, Mavis, which is huge, said they didn't stock them and couldn't order them. Yokohama said that's nuts, any dealer can order any tire. I called back, they said they ordered. I called a few days later and of course they ordered the wrong tires. But stupid of Yokohama to have several times with similar names (Avid Ascend, Ascend, GT and LX).

Pep Boys mounted and balanced the tires that I ordered from Tire Rack. Felt squirrely on the ride home. Because they put 50 psi in the tires! I deflated them down to the correct pressure (the next day, after the tires cooled down).

Very happy with the tires. I thought the car was just noisy (2016 Fit EX) because it was small and not well sound-insulated.

No- it was the stock tires! Wish I'd dumped the stock tires when the car was new instead of waiting 40,000 miles.

One thing- slight vibration when I step on the brakes at highway speed. Pep Boys says that can't be the tires, maybe a slightly warped rotor or a brake pad issue. I guess 40,000 miles is all I can get out of pads?

Can they cut rotors once or are they just replaced on this car?
