looking for Yokohama Ascend GT size suggestion

Hi fellow fit owners, I'm looking for some help with tire size. I got a 2013 ge8 base model last year and I got a new set of 15inch Konig Helium wheels for spring/summer.

The stock tire size is 175/65/15 for me and I'm considering installing a set of 195/60/15 Yoko Ascends (seems like this size matches the 175 the most). Any issue with this size? I'm not an aggressive driver but would like to improve the overall driving experience. I do notice some folks go up to 205 for tire size but it's beyond the 3% diameter change compared against the stock size - i dont really want to run into the rubbing situation.

Will it be a noticeable difference between 195 and the stock 175? Or should i either do 205 or just stick with stock 175?

I’d stick with the stock 175, but a 195 isn’t going to be a huge issue either.

As the previous post said, 195/60R15 should be fine. The width increase is less than 1 inch total.

Stepping up to 205/55R15 might work (they're actually a bit lower diameter), but would likely depend on the width and offset of your new wheels.

If you're using the Fit as a daily driver (suggested by "I'm not an aggressive driver") and presumably want to maximize your fuel efficiency, I would stick with the original/stock tire size for your car. If you're more concerned with appearance, many folks like a wider tire.

I went to a 195/60 from the stock 175s. They were really squirrely on the stock wheels, but after I got 15x7s the sidewalls felt much stiffer. The car is much more stable at speed and in the wind. And a lot better in the rain. I think the 175s were chosen for pure fuel efficiency.

I'll never go back to 175.

Thanks! Just curious, which model tire you have?
