I was wondering how many people out there have bought aftermarket wheels and just swapped the stock tires over?

While I intend to do some autocrossing/road racing in the future, right now the Fit is just used to get me from point A to point B. I don't see the point in wasting a set of tires that don't have even 3,000 miles on them.

 

If you plan on always having 15s or 2 sets of wheels then do it. There are tons of people that just buy wheels and then get better tires when they need replacing. I have 17" Enkei RPF1s with Falken RT615s for occasional driving, 15" Aguzzis with Michelin Pilots for downpour season, and the stocks for storage.....

 

Oh, if the wheels I end up buying don't have tires and are 15's, I'm definitely doing it... I just wanted to see if there were any other cheap bastards out there that think like me.

 

haha. if u have a sport model u can get a set of 15" konig heliums and swap the wheels but keep ur tires although the stock tires aren't sticky enough for autoX.

 

Yeah, I would get tires before ever starting AutoX'ing, but I doubt that's not gonna happen until next season, so I should be good.
