16x7 wheel with 3" lip *WOW*

I was browsing through eBay and found this. Even though the offset is +38 it should be no problem. With these wheels it will make the fit look VIP style or EURO.

its called a fake dish. where the spoke concave to create that dish lip looks even deeper.

A +38 on a 16" wheel?
Hmmmmmm, even with a 195/40 I think you would run into rubbing trouble.

Hmmmmmm, even with a 195/40 I think you would run into rubbing trouble.

im running 16" +38 on 205/45 no rubbing

It's called camber. If you go a lot negative camber, it's not impossible to put on 16x8 +20 wheels and stretched tires and not do much to your fender but rolling them only...and you won't rub even though you are dropped....


...can't say much about the tire wear though.

Yes im dropped, on Rays 57optimise. previously I was on Enkei Racing S 205/50/15 +32 offset with minimal rubbing.

damn, you're still up chris.... shiet.... crazy... anywho

+35 on 205/50/15 azenis rub.

I think 205/40 would be straight though.

Yeah I am starting to think my car is weird or something, today on my way home I passed through an interesting construction area in a 100km zone where they have engineering a huge long dip that leads into a large bump. I kind of feels like you are becoming airborn, then the bump comes and the whole car compresses into the ground.

Anyway, my point is I rubbed on the rear when I through it Granted my GF210's don't give me much camber change, but I am running +45 offset with 195/40R17 tires.... so... WFT!! Luckily I havn't had any rubbing anywhere else for months, but stilll... I totally don't know how you guys are doing it, my car is a picky bastard when it comes to tires.

im on coilovers, stiffer spring rate, and dampened rate.

I guess the higher dampener rate would help for sure, my current spring rates are already pretty high with the Tanabes.

I didn't really consider the weight of the wheel, do you think that would have a huge affect on how the suspension behaves over bumps? RTX isn't exactly known for making lightweight wheels, I think they are around 18lbs each for the rim... no idea regarding the tire.

Oh yeah... forgot this was a thread for the rims Talk about getting off-topic! Sorry redrum I though you were adding to Chris's comments.

Agreed, those rims at the top look ultra heavy!! If I had to guess it would be way more than 20lbs each.

now i look at it, i think these are almost the exact rims that the JDM Kenstyle Fit uses isnt it? maybe a replica or some sort, but it looks almost identical

i think you rubbed because you have a 17" on the fit..by having 17's with a 205 that would cause rub atleast i think so

the term is not CONCAVE, its CONVEXED.
