love...is hard....

it seems to me that 40 is like teh most popular offset...pretty much most wheels you can find them with offset +40, but with our high offset fit, is 40 a pretty much doomed offset? is 45 my only choice for a complete no rubbing experience?

I really really really like the te37 style rims(can't afford real volk...)......but i can't find any with offset +45 without being 17"+...this is going to drive me crazy... it seems like it's either 15 x 6.5 / +40 or 16 x 7 / +40

am I pretty much hopeless? why is it so hard to.....love...(for dramatic effect)

+40 is perfectly fine for the Fit. It all depends on the tires youre using.
If youre going to swap the OEMs over onto the wheels youll be plenty fine with +40mm.

If youre going with aftermarket wheels Id suggest Falken tires. There is a potential chance that youll rub just a smidge going over large bumps but its not that high.

Im rolling 15x6.5 35 offset with a bit of rubbing in the front on bumps. Not anything that isnt fixable though.
Mx6 proved that ANYTHING is possible when he was rolling on 0 offset 15x7's lol.

16in is guaranteed to rub since most of them are a +40mm offsets and lower. Since people rub with that offset +33 will deff rub. And the overall rim being bigger does help either.

That does sound like a nice set-up. Looking good takes sacrifices.
Money, tires, fenders, whatevers.

so if I go with 5 x 6.5 / 40 and go with 195/50/15, will that work? what about lowering, cuz I was looking at skunk2's springs...: P

(omg! at least there is hope! I was really bomed out when no matter how hard I try, I couldn't find anything thats not +40)

depends on the tire you use too. most a/s tires are narrower than
its summer tire counterpart even if the widths are the same.

so, just get some narrower tires. i know ParadaSpec2's are narrow
summer tires...

im running 15x7 195/50 ziex912's and no rubbing. lowered on DF210's.
