Falken Azenis 615 is probably the stickiest tire you can get without going to a dedicated track tire.
On the down side, I had the predecessor (215, I think) and they lasted about 12k miles...

Bridgestone RE01's are the best street tire you can buy, though they wear quick and have a hefty price tag. The newer Toyo R1R looks to be good as well as the new 140wear offering from Kumho(not sure if its out yet). Then you get to tires lasting slightly longer which are the azenis and hankook rs2. Both are great tires, with slightly different characteristics. The azenis likes to run cold and doesnt like to get hot. The Rs2 is not the best cold, but can take heat much better.

i agree with SHG_mike the RE01s are one of the best street tires, if you cant afford those RS2's would be nice. I like the azenis, but those tires are really oily and dont grip as good as you would like them too.

Consult TireRack's website for comparison of performance tires. If you want all out Hoosiers have the best A/X records.
