question about wheel width and offset

I was curious if anyone knew,
the stock 2007 sport wheel is 15x6" and the hfp wheel is 16x6.5"
do they have different offsets?, because i would think if they had the same offset the wider wheel would throw the suspension/wheel centerline off, and the tire would drag while turning, rather that pivot.

this has always been my concern with aftermarket wheels as well.

actually i used an offset calculator, and if both the 6" and the 6.5" wheel have a 55mm offset the centerline will remain the same, the new wider wheel will extend 6mm in both directions,,
so perhaps this answers my question
