you should have no problem with 16's.
do you know what the offset is?
also what the width is?

your car should take 4x100 if thats what
your looking for for your fitment Q?

He is asking what is the offset and width of the wheels. Wheel sizes will be in this format 16 x 7.0 +40. The second number is the width, and the +X number is the offset. These numbers will decide if you rub or not. Also are you lowered?

+45 offset is pretty idiot-proof. Whether stock ride height or lowered, that will definitely not rub.

Just avoid any wheel that's 7.5" or wider. 7" should be your max wheel width

+38 is pretty low and will rub unless you roll your fenders/camber it when you lower it.

I have 43 offset and it is fine and I am lowered. I remember BakedCookies with 42 offset and he said he rubbed (I think he also went to 205/50-16 tires).

So 43/44 might be the limit, if you are going to lower it and IF you do not want to mess with camber bolts/ rolling fenders and that sort of thing. 45 possibly a little more if you go wider tire.

Dimension of 16" Accessory Wheels

this is what the 16" accessory wheel looks like

This is what a 7" rim looks like...

so, if you want 16" rims that are 7" wide, you need at least a 40-mm offset but no greater than 43-mm.

Well..............this does not seem right to me
You appear to be using back space, offset is different as it is offset from center. So actually a 6 or 6.5 or 7" wheel works out the same! Tires width is really the issue.

No smugness intended, strongly suggesting 43 is the minimum, and 45 or even a bit more is better if going wider tire.
And again my numbers can be fudged if you want to camper bolt/roll fenders.
Just do not want the OP to make a potentially expensive mistake, otherwise whatever people want to do to their own cars is fine by me.
