wheels spacer?

So what's the maximum measurement you can put on the fit? or is 3mm spacer still safe to put on to bring down the offset?

i use a 1/4 inch spacer up front. still relatively safe

Im not 100% sure, but I think a 10mm spacer can be ran on the Fit and have enough stud left to tighten the wheel down safely. I highly suggest torque them down to specs.

I havent tested it, but I shaved down 1/4in of my OEM wheel studs a while back and I havent had a problem.

5mm can be done with no problems.

just make sure you have 6-7 turns on the lugnuts

How many turns did you get on the lug stud?

You dont need extended studs. 5mm spacers are nothing. The guy above is on 8mm and Im sure 10mm can be done also. The Fits OEM studs are pretty long.

Im running 2 8th gen Civic studs and theyre the same length as my OEMs; which I shaved down a 1/4in.

you dont necessarily need extended studs. as long as you get 6-7 turns onto the threads

make sure the spacers allow u to keep the car "hubcentric"

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. im mr safety, but i dont believe in hubcentric rings and such. most wheels ive seen and used are lugcentric

i was thinking of getting some spacers for my car too. HmMm................ BTW could someone school me on the 'hubcentric' vs 'lugcentric'. I kinda understand what they do but i just need reassurance

our cars center the wheels on the lugs.

newer toyota aluminum wheels are hub centered.

Hmm now I'm torn between 5mm and 10mm I'll be running a +43 offset 15x7 I know 5 will bring me down to +38 and 10 to +33

I've searched and found this about hub centric and lug centric here's the link

thanks bitoy. I'm checking out the link now. hmm roll your fenders and tuck the fender liner. You should be good with 33mm offset little rubbing doesn't hurt

now my mechanic said that i really dont need the hub centric pieces but if i start to feel minor vibrations and it annoys me then i should get the pieces to minimize the vibration. It makes sense to me, just right now i gottta wait for my bolts from a fellow member here *ahem* and then set my coilovers to how i want it and get ANOTHER alignment.... (stupid accident) then i guess i'll know if i need em or not

For people that are deciding on non hubcentric and hubcentric spacers; non hubcentric can easily be put in place as hubcentric. Put the spacers on the car, center them as best as you can and tape them on the hub to hold them in place. Install the wheel and torque to spec.

The tape and wheel will hold the spacer preventing high speed vibrations.

Out of all my wheels I only used one set of centering rings. Only reason why I ran them was because they came with the wheels and they were drilled.
Ive used OEM lugs on aftermarket wheels and aftermarket lugs on OEM wheels. Its a fad.
Do what you want.
