I and customers have boufht several hundred wheels and tires from DTD. No problem and if you order wheels and tires they mount, balance, and ship for free.

Yeah they're pretty good. Lifetime warranty on my tires although I dunno if me being in NJ not around their stores anymore has an effect on that...

One more thumbs-up for discount tire direct. I've bought wheels and tires from them for a few years now, and if you get wheels/tires together, they come mounted and balanced. Good deals, often with free shipping.

What about the sponsor of the forum. We have been around the longest in the industry with the best customer service. We will be very compeitive on pricing as well.
If I can help let me know.

Tirerack has been around a long time and provides wonderful informative information about tire performance and selection, probably the best in the marketplace. We've bought from them for over a decade but Jim,
Tirerack prices aren't the lowest nor in many cases ciompetitive. Don't forget to compare prices after shipping. Or after mounting and balancing.

tirerack is good for information, but the prices suck compared to discounttiredirect.com and onlinetires.com

I guess good customer service and support of the forum and other club racing is not worth a little. Our prices are always going to be competitive to the companies listed. We may not always be the lowest but sometimes we are. If I can help just give me a call.

Tirerack has the best information & a wider variety of tires to choose from than DTD. Our family & friends have always used TR as a resource for tires. I even compared prices from friends that work in the wholesale tire industry and their "employee" pricing comes close to TR's prices. Shipping is fast from TR. Most of the times, I get it in a day or 2 after I placed the order.
DTD, although they offer free shipping for their tires & wheels, are no that much cheaper than TR. I've found similar tires that are actually a few bucks more than TR (including shipping). However, I like DTD's online auctions. They have the best deals on wheels. You can find some really great deals on eBay with their auctions. TR's wheel pricing is not that great. They are kinda pricey and doesn't really cater to every level of ownerships & cars. I've never seen TR do any online auctions like DTD either.

Tirerack for tires & DTD for wheels - have and probably continue to work for me & my friends.

HI Fittin,

With wheels there is a quality issue that comes into play. Unless you are looking at the exact same wheel pricing them can be difficult. We carry higher quality wheels I do appreciate the tire business though.

guys, you get wat you pay for.

Tirerack is where i shop for wheels and tires. the only time i
buy elsewhere is when my buddy's shop has some sale going
on for those cheezo wheels like drag and rota and others. but
you get wat you pay for. my drag wheels are all pitted and
rusted and all look like crap only after a year's use.

my other wheels purchased from tirerack look great....even
after 4-5yrs.

tire prices by themselves, not sure. i usually buy them with
wheels so it's a great convenience for me. almost always gets
to me the next day via UPS ground. hahahaha!

I wouldn't neccessarily say higher quality......Both companies carry all scales of quality.

All the wheels we carry are either German TUV or Japan JWL approved. They all carry finish warranties and they all accept the new TPMS sensors. We try to only carry higher quality wheels.

or am i looking at the wrong site?

discount tire as in americastire... no?

the wheels discount tires sells are lower grade vs the
wheels tirerack carries. the wheels tirerack carries is
OEM and above quality where as discount tire wheels
such as my drag are waaaay sub-OE quality...near
garbage. a wheel pits and rusts in one year? LOL

Yes,
Discount Tire or America's Tire.....

They sell everything that Tire Rack sells except private made stuff ie. ASA etc...
Tire Rack doesn't special order wheels such as HRE, Iforged, Boyd, Billet Specialties etc....I'm not saying Tire Rack is bad, I ordered SP1s for my S2k from Jim several years ago, I'm just saying that both sell the same quality stuff.
