I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but being as i am asking because i want to powdercoat some wheels i chose this area. Mod's please move to correct forum if this is not the right one.

Ok, as the title says i am looking for someone in the Bay Area,CA that does good quality powdercoating. I have never had wheels powdercoated and i am wanting to get gloss black powdercoat with a polished lip. Will the powdercoat shop be able to do the polished lip or would it be better for me to just have them tape off the lip and polish the lips myself? Also, what could i expect to pay for this?

 

Check with West Coast Powder Coating at south san francisco (650) 871-0400. AJ is a stand up guy. And the last time I went there I had a set of wheels that needed powder coating. He said he would do it for $200. As for taping the lip I don't know if he is able to do it. I know that there is some type of tape that the powder will not stick to. I might visit him this week also because I might ask him to do my new set of wheels as well. But like you I want to keep the lip polished.It is best to bring your wheels for him to see other wise the quote over the phone will be more. A quote over the phone to powder coat a set of 15" wheels was $150 each.
