OK, I put the wheels and tires that I had on my wife's VW on my Fit and have driven on them for a few days but am hearing a ton of noise from the tires. I took them off the VW in Nov IIRC and have been stacked in the garage until recently. I don't recall any of this noise when on the VW which is really strange. The tires are 195/50/15 Yokohama S Drives on 15X6 ET35 wheels, if that matters. What can cause such tire noise when they didn't do it before?

 

are the tires directional? if so, did you mount them going the right way?

 

Does the VW have better or more sound deadening material. If you went from the crappy Dunlops to the Yoks you went from all season to directional which will be a difference also.......
