New (to Rota) Wheel Designs (web site updated, as is first post)

Wheel Catalog - ROTA Wheels

Based on my research so far, there probably will only be a few that will work, as most of the new models are 18" & 19" size monstrosities.

BTW - I know these are going to be more "fake" wheels, but I simply want some new choices. Fingers crossed, etc.

~ Ouch... Pics are renderings, not photos, some still lack details on fitments. GKR is Enkei NT03 copy (too soon!). Like the Grid II somewhat. Optimus, Option, and RMS OK as well. R-Spec depending on colors offered. That's all for now! ~

New model list:

Axle
Blitz
D-Force
Fighter 10
GK-R
GR-62F
GR-62R
Gravel
Grid II
GTR
HM3
IK-F
IK-R
LC-808-F
LC-808-R
LC-818-F
LC-818-R
MTS
Option
P-45 R2
PFS-F
PFS-R
RMS
R-Spec
Veneto
Zero Plus

I have seen some of these models before, perhaps they are reintroductions - i.e. Zero Plus, HM3, R-Spec...
Hoping for a new selection available in 45mm offset, 15" and 16"!

OMG...this could be good. If there is anything I like with 45mm, I will be all over that like white on rice.

Please post up as soon as you know offsets/sizes. I am ready to buy and need 16" and 45mm.

Thanks! Thanks!

These are new, yes?

Some of them are only 15 and 17+ Suckage.

I'm praying now for a 16x6.5 or 16x7 with 45mm offset (come on...mama needs a new pair of shoes!!)

There are sizes current on SOME of the "placemarked" models (but not all)...Grid II sounds promising and...gravel may be something of interest.

It's about damn time. Rota's website is hopelessly outdated. A lot of the designs listed in the first post have been selling here for half a year now.

To give you an idea of what these look like...

R-Spec = DC2 Integra Type R 1998-spec stock wheel, only available in 16"
IKF = large-diameter Volk Racing TE37
Grid 2 = small-diameter Volk Racing TE37, "low offset" style
RMS(-1) = Advan RG-I (the Boost is their RG-II copy)
Zero Plus = Work Equip 01
Option = RAYS Gram Lights 57G

These have been out for a while now. The Mugen XJ copy, the MGM, is rather new though.

You know those old Toyota commercials where the guy would jump up at the end and it would say something like... " I love what you do for me, Toyota!"

Well...Rota makes me feel like this...

I LOVE WHAT YOU DO FOR ME!! YEAH ROTA!

Any ideas on anything that comes in 16" with 45mm offset?

I recognized the Mugen copy...but not the others. My bad.

No biggie.

The R-Spec, which I mentioned only comes in 16", has already proven a good fit on a GD. I'm assuming it's 16x7 although I don't know its offset, but on a GD it doesn't rub.

One of the wheels in your photos, the GR-A, is a Prodrive GC-010 copy. Those were sold stock with the Vios XX variant sold here, with specs of 17x7 +48...I know it's not 16" but it should also fit a GE well.

You US guys might have better luck with higher offsets. Rota tends to sell just the +40-offset stuff here and save the higher offsets (that elusive +45, grrr!) for the export crowd. I'm hoping the website gets a FULL update soon enough!

Yup yup, we need the full update.

I need 45mm like a lung needs air.

And I wish I was a baller like you, Dew--you know I respect your build, but damn I just can't justify the "real" wheels on a teacher's salary with a family to support. I can barely justify my other mods--and they are all paid with "extra jobs" at school --like UIL Sponsor, Keeping score at volleyball and basketball games etc etc

Do what you gotta do! People can chime in with their opinions but it's your car, so at the end of the day, you can do whatever that makes you Happy!

I suppose I should have worded it slightly different -

"New (to Rota) Wheels Designs Coming Soon..."

But there is always hope for a design all their own!

But if they make a wheel design I like that fits the Fit, I don't care - I'll get 'em - unless I can get the "real" thing for less than $220 per wheel. That's my cut-off point. I also won't buy used, because you never know what hell they may have been through. And the "real" thing better be lighter than the Rota!

I think I figured out a few more:

LC stands for Linea Corse, and those models are pictured in various websites.

808
818
PFS
Veneto

Unfortunately, they're all likely to be 19"wheels.

Pics of the Gravel are easily found, too. They look great, but seem to be only available in 18".

Dambit!

Please reread first post and click on the link again as the pics are here! (renderings, not photos-unfortunately)

None of the wheels that now have pics are listed as 16" diameter. Some are 15", but most are not available in the smaller sizes. There are quite a few still lacking measurements under their pics, though. As some others have said, the R-Spec is supposed to be 16" and pretty light...

Still need a full update from those guys!

Yeah, I'm awaiting the full update before I pull the trigger on rims.

Almost bought some flat black slips the other day...but I'm waiting.
