Adapter to use aftermarket lugs with stock wheels

I had actually thought of contacting a machinist to have something like this made, when I came across a place that was already selling them:

"THESE WASHERS ARE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR WHEEL APPLICATIONS REQUIRING A BALL SEAT WHILE USING A 60 DEGREE TAPERED SEAT STYLE LUG BOLT. 4 PER PACK."

BALL SEAT CONVERSION WASHERS :: LUG NUTS & STUDS :: TIRES & WHEELS :: Appletree Automotive, Dune Buggy Parts, Sandrail Parts, VW Parts

Any opinions on this? It seems like these should work and greatly increase the variety of lugs that people can use with stock wheels. Wheels are wheels to me, if I could get the price of the stock alloys taken off and replaced with plain steel I'd have done it. I just don't want the wheels stolen, and there wasn't much choice of wheel locks for the ball seat lugs. e.g. I wanted to get a set of Gorilla Guard locks with the free-spinning collar but they're of course not available in the ball seat.

In a situation like mine( arp extended studs, oem rims)those are perfect. I could finally put my extended nuts back on!!! Also locking ball seat nuts from the dealer aren't that expensive for piece of mind:EName: IMG044.jpg
