Wheel Mate

i just installed my enkei rpf-1 it came with a " center hub ring"
if that is what its called....but it doesnt seem to fit on the brake rotor or where u mount the rims of the FIT...

W/out it u can install the rims with NO problem...

My question is do i need to put something in-between the RIMS and
wheel mounting contact surface of a brake rotor/brake drum
something like "wheelmate" or i can leave it attached with just the rims
on the disc or brake rotor drum.

http://www.kleenwheels.com/wheel%20mate_info.htm

thanks

you dont need a wheel mate. that just sounds like a bad idea. just mount the rim to the hub. also you dont need hub-centric rings because our cars are lug-centric

right now its mounted RIM-HUB, is it sufficient???

are those "wheelmates" any good, isn't it's purpose is suppose to protect the
rims and hubs from sticking to each other in the long period???

what do u mean by lug-centric...hehe sorry noob question

on some cars, the wheels are centered on the hubs. the lugs just hold it on. on our cars, the wheels are centered on the lugs, so the hub bore of the rim does not matter.

and ive never heard of a wheelmate, so i cannot comment on what it is supposed to do. but your car didnt come with a wheelmate, neither did mine, so i do not see any reason to put one on

If you do require a hub-centric ring you need to find out what your hub diameter is. That will serve as the inner diameter of the ring.

For Fits/Jazzes the inner diameter is 55mm.

I used hub-centric rings on my old Rota Circuit 10s. Outer diameter for those was 67mm. The outer diameter is dependent on the wheel you're running. For Enkei wheels the outer diameter is closer to 70mm I think
