Howdy,

I'm wanting to purchase some new wheels and tires for my new Vortex Blue Pearl 2011 Fit and for the life of me, I can't decide. I have been looking for 3 weeks straight and I thought I had figured it which wheels i was going to get, but now I'm second guessing myself.

I know I want 18'' wheels with 215/35/18 tires. I need the wheels to be 7 - 7.5 inches wide and 40-45 offset. My budget is around $1,100 or less for wheels and tires. I want something different but still looks good. I have been there and done that with the black wheels and chrome lip, so i don't think I want to go that route again, but I might.

I am thinking about the following wheels.

 

OR...

 

Above with painted blue stripe and cap instead of red.

OR

with painted blue stripe and cap instead of red.

Or take the standard XXR 006 Black with chrome lip and paint the black a different color. For example: these were repainted white over the black. Maybe paint them vortex blue pearl over the black?



Please throw out any other wheels or ideas or comments ( good or bad ) my way. I'm ready to buy and right now I'm leaning towards the blue or copper lip wheels.

 

I liked the blue ones as well, but i decided the blue wont match and would annoy the heck out of me...

have you seen the black lip wheels that xxr makes? XXR 507 W Series

that might look kind of cool with the hint of blue spaced away and inside so you wont notice as much that its a different shade. or if you want you can actually get those pieces color matched.

The 518's are nice too, but I would do them in gold, would look hot on a vortex. or all black. without a stripe.

ya i am kinda worried about the blue lip not matching either, then I would have to get them repainted to match if its pretty far off. I was thinking the vortex blue and the copper would go together pretty good, just not sure. I do like your other choices though. More to kick around.

 

I would go with rota slip streams in plain silver or steel gray. its 18X8 tho but is +40. I can see your theme here is black wheels with a color lip. This is my personnal opinon so dont hate on me for it but i feel it makes your wheels look cheep. Also the color around the lip is a just a wheel trend that i feel is on its way out. To go solid color is elegent and the lighter silver would look great on your blue car. IMAO. other than that, from your pictures i would say the black with blue lip, paint to match if you have to.

what color is your car? i like the XXR 006's ... but maybe spend a little extra money powdercoating the whole wheel blue instead of the black in middle? sometimes twotone can get a little ricy, unless somewhat color matched to the car like that second picture.

well apparently the copper and blue lip XXR wheels are back ordered by 2 months or more. Any other ideas for 18 inch wheels on a Vortex Blue Pearl Fit?
