will i rub?

bought some 17x7 38 offset Enkei EV5's in bronze.

I ordered thru tire rack, they didn't list the offset when i was doing the wheel/tire package... I figured they wouldn't sell a rim/tire that would rub...

205/45R-17 tires (bridgestone).

on a 1.5" drop, will it rub?

i'm more worried about the fronts than the rears from the looks of it.

thanks guys.

You probably gonna need max camber up front. The standard for the fit seems to be 45mm or higher on a 7 inch wheel. A 7 inch wheel at 45mm offset will extend out 14 more mm than stock. A 7 inch wheel at 38 mm will extend 21 more than stock so your probably gonna rub without camber.

if its any kind of rubbing, it'll be minimal on large bumps and fast turns. BUT if you roll/cut/pull fenders you should be fine.. people are running WAAAAAAAAY lower offsets that 38 without rubbing at all.

dont know why people are scared of a mild offset. everyone seems to be brainwashed to think 45+ is the only way to go lol

i'd like a more aggressive offset, but i'm not willing to modify fenders/roll/pull/cut to do it.

esp with canadian winters. the roadsalt is nasty. I don't want rotted quarters earlier than i have to deal with :P

with those wheels, i think a fender liner tuck would pretty much cover it on the fronts. but whatever you say man! i guess its less to deal with. dont lower it if its gonna be your daily beater

Gd on 15x6.5 +40 I rub. With my girl in the car I rub all day. I weigh 155 she weighs 110. I have about 1.5 camber up front. So you can make them fit but +45 would be better

I had rubbing issues with 16"X7"38mm wheels with 195-50-15s and Swift springs... It would probably have been acceptable to a lot of people I guess but I drive faster than a lot of people and don't like to have to slow down or drive through intersections with a slight dip for water drainage doing a zigzag...I am on my 3rd set of front fender liners in just over 50,000 miles and now have my car sitting at close to the stock height on BC coilovers with 16"X6.5"45mm wheels and 205-50-16"s

Well spoon progressive springs lower the vehicle what 20mm 30 with extra weight of usdm chassis?? That's about how much lower I plan to go on my next day off.
Making my car much lower than yours hence rubbing..
