I am assuming that you are taking it during the summer semester. I took ENC1101 during my first semester here at UF. It was an easy class. It was taught by a grad student so they can make it difficult or easy. Other than having to do a lot of writing (well a lot for an engineer
) it wasnt a bad class. You shouldnt have any problems with it, well unless your grad student sucks, if its taught by one.

This is the course description from when I took the class, keep in mind that it was 2 years ago
"This course introduces students to the principal elements of writing effectively. ENC 1101 focuses on writing rhetorical arguments, building research skills, and developing critical thinking through reading, writing, and discussion. Students will learn how to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of their own and their peers’ writing and explore how differing conventions, styles, purposes, and audiences affect writing practices. Students are challenged to improve their reading, thinking, and writing, and gain confidence in themselves as scholarly readers and writers. Attaining these goals will not only prepare them to meet the expectations of researched academic writing in ENC 1102, but will also benefit them through the rest of their college careers and beyond."
We had to write a total of 4 papers: A Rhetorical Analysis (600 words, or 2 pages), A Narrative Argument (900 words, or 3 pages), A Rebuttal Argument (1200 words, or 4 pages), and An Evaluation Argument (1500 words, or 5 pages)
So it was/is more of a writing course. I recieved an A in the class and in my opinion I suck at writing.

I only have like an hour until my class.

Can anyone tell me if Writing and Rhetoric I (ENC1101) is an easy class?
