Pretty simple dude. Open your hatch. Then remove the inside plastic panel and unbolt the complete assembly. But first pop off the plastic cover on the arm itself where it joints to the motor and once the piece is popped off remove nut to remove arm. Then from inside unbolt three nuts to rmeove motor and BAM.

.... If i remove my rear wiper then I would never be able to see out of my rear view mirror. Any time rain or snow or shortly after the back window picks up tons of gunk and that rear wiper is very handy. Don't see why you would want to get rid of it.....

some people live where it doesn't rain/snow a lot or at all and it's inconvenient and a loss they can live with to lose the rear wiper.

lol it is just hard for me to image the world outside of Wisconsin. Last month it probably rained 60% of the days of the month.

While it is a necessity for someone like you, all it does is collect dust and then scratch up my window when it does get usage.

Anybody gonna make a DIY on how to remove the back wiper with pictures?

I can understand why some people would want to do this...but it's just not for me.

the rear wiper is one of my favorite things about the Fit hehe. This is my 4th car and all 3 of my previous cars didn't have a rear wiper....or one that worked anywho ('95 Celica - broken rear wiper, 91' MR2 - No rear wiper, '98 Prelude - no rear wiper).

I almost crapped myself when it rained and all I had to do was flick a switch to get visibility again! haha

I bet you could find a rear view camera to fit in that opening. Then if you have a DVD head unit, perfect! I had one on my truck that had night vision as well, worked real nice.

Just do the vertical wiper mod and you won't get dirt resting on the blade.

Here's a DIY for the vertical wiper mod, you can also follow it halfway if you don't know how to take your wiper motor out and you just want to delete it.
