Exclamation MFactory Competition Products - Gauging Interest

Hey guys,

some of you may know us from the recent Helical LSD thread that JDMChris is testing for us, so just thought I'd post up a thread here to gauge interest in our full range of products for the FIT while we are pending "FIT Vendor" status

Achieve the ultimate in acceleration with the MFactory Close Ratio Gear Sets, Final Drives and Limited Slip Differentials!

Diamond Cut to exacting tolerances from fully Carburized Forged Nickel-Chromoly Steel and put through our own proprietary heat treatment process, you will not find a stronger, more reliable product on the market. Our special treatment process makes our gears several times stronger than OEM Gears and are specifically designed to endure the demanding requirements of high-power track/drag cars.

MADE FROM 100% PURE AUSTRALIAN STEEL

Close Ratio Gears

Ratios:
3rd - 1.285
4th - 1.030
5th - 0.886

MSRP: $799.95 + Shipping

FINAL DRIVE GEARS

By changing your final gear ratios, you can experience a dramatic increase in acceleration throughout the rev-range, giving you on average, a 15% increase in torque at any given speed over the OEM Final Drive.

Ratios: 4.47 and 4.687
MSRP: $549.95 + Shipping

LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIALS

Gain a prominent advantage over the competition with the MFactory Helical LSD.

Through the smooth and constant distribution of power to the wheels, the MFactory Helical LSD puts the power-to-the-ground and maximises your vehicle's traction. A must for any FWD race car, be it Street, Strip or Track!

- Made from 100% Pure Australian Steel, NOT cheap Chinese Steel
- Precision-machined from High-Tensile Forged Chromoly Steel for increased strength and durability
- Only the highest quality Brighton-Best Hardware is used
- Maintenance-free Gears eliminates the need for special fluids & rebuilds associated with plate-type LSDs
- Lock-free operation ensures no adverse affect to steering response

MSRP: $649.95 + Shipping

Although we don't have an image yet, we would also like to introduce our new line of Racing Clutches. Custom made to our specification in the USA by SPEC, our Racing Clutch for FIT offers stock-like daily driveability and very good wear characteristics. Torque rating for our clutch is 220lbft, so should be more than enough for you Forced Induction guys

MSRP: $249.95 + Shipping

As mentioned, this post is just to gauge interest in our line-up and to see if there is a market for new & upcoming products for the FIT. If there is, please post and let us know while we setup our vendor account with the admin.

Any comments/suggestions on our products, please feel free to ask

so fuel economy could potentially be increased by installing the 4.47 final drive even though acceleration would suffer more than it already does.

The 4.47 will increase acceleration over the 4.290, at the sacrifice of achievable top speed in each gear.

For fuel economy, it really just depends on your right foot

i was talking about the automatic using the 4.47 final instead of the 4.56 it is using now. mpg would be increased at the sacrifice of acceleration right?

The final drives don't fit the AT's unfortunately, but yeah, that would be the case.

Not at the present moment, as transmission components is what we specialize in, but if the interest is there, we could discuss with our partner companies and see if they would be interested in developing something

As funny as it sounds, maybe making "ECO" gear ratios and final drives may sell better on here for you. Some people on the board are more into wanting a lower 5th gear to get better gas mileage and some turbo owners are complaining that 1st gear is useless with their new found power. Maybe longer gears will appease both sides of the fence?

As an FI owner, the First gear goes so fast, its almost useless. Second gear seems long in the fact that First goes so fast. The rest I don't care too much about. It is my DD.

to modify first you need to change the whole main shaft which is pretty pricey.

Yea, I figured it would be. I don't think I'd spend that much money just for gears. There's better things I can do with that money

i agree.. i think 1st is a tad too short and im stock! 5th is okayy.. i learned now that the high revs are natural for hondas... its not too bad. My sister's RSX Type S has a 6 speed gearbox and i think it revs even higher than mine at 80mph although the redline is higher. The 1st to second gear change is horrible as well!... such a huge drop in rpm!

i think for the most part the lower top speed higher acceleration will benefit the na peeps. but a higher top speed final drive will def benefit the fi peeps. decisions, decisions.
