Grill Idea for 09 Fit

So I was talking to a member today and he said the grill design for the J's grill looks like a nose so then we went back and forward on some drawings and then came up with this photoshop of a new grill idea. What do you guys think?

I'm not gauging interest or starting to build this... yet...

If this turns out to be something you great people would really like then Ill probobly start something after the lower garnish for the 07/08 Fit, the hoods, and either before or after the BYS spoiler were working on.

Tadaaa

P.S If somebody els runs with this design before if we get to it and they try to sell it, go ahead and purchase but remember. How many companies besides iKONA guarantees a perfect fit? HMMM!? Well there you go

that looks pretty cool. but what about functionality? I know most of the guys are running a CAI, but there are some stock people around... so you know how on the hood you have the air intake induction system... is there anyway you could create an air scoop to maybe increase the velocity of the air?.... ok i'm just rambling on and throwing ideas out... disregaurd if you'd like... looks good though

Nobody is running a CAI as there isnt any one available yet. There is PRM intake but it draws air from the same place as stock and I see most other intakes doing the design.

You could go with the J's grill which has a little slit to draw in air but I dont like how it looks. Although honestly this grill should work the same as the opening is a little bigger.

I was the one going back and forth with the drawings with him. Thanks again for the photoshop and being patient. We mustve tried about 6 different photoshops

Heres a link to the original image, to lazy to host it.

Thats the J's racing grill for the JDM front, not available yet here in the US. I dont like it much though, the one for the GD looks much better.

Thanks! As for better air flow, Were also working on a Hood design for the 09 fit where it has a reverse cowel. Maybe you might want to check that out.

I've been craving an aftermarket grill for the 09 for a while now. Seeing all the options for the 07-08s makes me so jealous. I would definitely purchase this. Lets just get some parts done for the 09's already! Rear garnish, hood, spoiler, grille, etc.

Just giving you a hard time. I know it's hard keeping up with some many demands for new parts. My carbon mirror covers are hopefully just the beginning of several iKona pieces of my new 09!

Yes, the grille looks great.

Am I the only one wondering about the gap between the hood and the grille?

I thought the hood was open at first but looking at the lines it does look like there is a gap. Keep in mind the grill in the first post is a photoshop of the J's racing grill for the JDM grille. http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...G_6378copy.jpg

Yes its just a photoshop, and the hood is popped open.

Lol imagine if that was the gap.... It would be like It would be like selling a rear bumper with out the exhaust outlet.

It is tough keeping up with the demand, but Ill work 12 hr days if I have to, to keep this going stronger and better until were as big as.... Extreme dimensions or something of the sort

Happy Easter!

Speaking of tow hooks, can you make a tow hook license plate holder? I think it would look really clean and I might even use my front license plate! :3
