I'm on the list but only staying if it's a direct replacement/bolt-on to the stock. Not into drilling and filling holes.

 

understood. It will for sure be direct bolt on. the way the spoiler mounts to the GE is already very simple and its just 2 bolts up top and 4 plastic pin holes that guide the spoiler in place. no worries good sir.

My guy is on his way over to as we speak, and he's gonna see how this is all gonna play out. fingers crossed!

i'm down for another wing but i just want to add that the mounting locations should either be able to reuse the stock bolt covers or new covers be provided.

I would be down without doubt, but I want something a little different than the duckbill, well actually it is very different from it. Details only after I end up with it.

Alright guys, I have some bad news and some good news. The only bad news is that it does NOT use stock mounting locations as planned earlier. It was harder to make a sleek upward design if the stock mounts towardthe center of the hatch were used. But don't fret! The new mounting locations are on the edge of the hatch and bolt into the hatch from the bottom and is SUPER easy to just drill the 2 holes and mount. The new spoiler covers all stock holes and pins, and if u ever put the stocknone back, the stock one will also cover the new holes you drilled. A very easy install.

There is more good news than bad. There will be a fiberglass option for cheaper. And I recieved and mounted the cf prototype today and am utterly impressed by it's perfect, spot on fitment. It's so good that, although you could use double sided tape in certain spots, I mounted mine withou and it's perfect.

Tonight at the meet out here I will show David aka dela, Matt aka JDMxGE8 and others and have them post first hand impressions in this thread.

I'll post pictures and prices tonight so you guys can send ur deposits. Be very excited. This shit is dope.

i saw the spoiler in person tonight. i'm glad i went to the meet tonight because chuck said he had just put it on today. it definitely looks like it was made for the GE. rather than imitating the classic shape of the spoon duckbill spoiler and changing it's mounting points it looks like lots of time and thought was put into its design. i think it really suits the GE's body lines nicely.

it sits as clean as OEM and that's not an overstatement. one bolt on each side is enough to hold spoiler down and it sits flush on the top of the hatch WITHOUT MOUNTING TAPE!

if i had a GE, i'd rock one f'sho

As stated in post 32, the final product came out really nice. Along with Charlie, JDMxGE8 and NghtRder got a look at it and hopefully they'll chime in with their input. I want everyone to know what kind of product they'll recieve without feeling sketchy about it.

As you guys can see in these up close pics, the length and fitment around the curves of the hatch is flawless. the seam all the way across the top of the hatch is up against the hatch, no waves, no flaws. what you see is what you get. This was installed without any double sided tape. Post 32 has more in-depth info.
