Never had much of an interest in carbon fiber stuff in the past, so I've never asked or looked into it, but can the finish on these be painted over? It would be cool to have it painted on the outside and leave the carbon on the inside with the rear interior paneling removed, or drilled out like a screen to show what's underneath. Add some lighting in there and you have a non moving disco ball emitting beams of light in your cabin. New idea? haha

You lost me with the lighting and disco ballz...but I imagine only the top surface is covered with CF. If you want it painted then you should look into a fiberglass hood.

if this pushes through... it would be a must to make the trunk rigid and would stand being opened and closed 50-60 times per week. It's just the nature of my work

hum.... on the fence about this one.

I'm only vaguely interested in the CF hatch... but just because I did some minor damage to my hatch (self-inflicted isn't covered under warranty, I'm guessing).

pricing (including spoiler re-install) and actual styling could sway me in either direction.

Bump. I still think this would be king ding-a-ling for the Fit.

I am interested in a hatch molded w/o a spoiler.

sorry to dig up an oldish thread but is this gonna happen? I am defiantly interested if the hatch is the same for JDM models, which I'm sure it is, I'll put a deposit down next week if it's gonna happen :P
