I sent this email to JDP because I was interested in buying OEM CF hood and thought I'd take it one step further!

I have been eyeing the ventilated CF hood but I've had some experiences
with those types of hoods with my nissan 200SX and what I have to say
is that I've ran some risk of ruining my engine bay due to the elements
of nature pouring in on top (rain,snow,etc).

I'm not sure if anyone else has takin an interest in this but my
question to you is, would you/ are you/ in the near future be making
cover holes for the vents? I know this defeats the purpose of having a
ventiliated hood but I am one of those anal/picky guys.
I'd buy the ventilated one in heart beat, but I'd also like to cover
the ventilation on rainy/ snowy days to protect against the elements.

I'd be willing to pay extra if you could make an OEM CF hood with
ventilation AND a COVER rather than the other style where it has a bend.

If anyone else is on the band wagon I could sure use your help in maybe gauging in interest to the manufactures for those people who like the "sleeper style" look.

In regards to the vented hood, I can make a custom cover for you
(will cost extra). As for making a custom vent in the OEM style hood,
I can do this too but in my opinion, it won't look as nice.

Thanks for looking into this, I am strongly contemplating getting that hood, but was very concerned with how much rain and snow we get in New England.
