@Smurf: Sorry for a shot request. Can I see one with the hatch open? I want to see how bad the antenna will bend because of this; not like I use the radio, but I don't want the stock antenna to develop a permanent bend over time.

The fiberglass version is supposedly black and smooth. Not sure if I should go for that or the CF. planning ahead and I have no money for this.

 

question. why arent the spoiler tabs cf as well? doesnt it look odd if its different color?

 

The duckbill doesn't come with the tabs. You would need to have those custom made.

I'll have that pic posted once I'm off of work. The stock antenna is WAYYY too long. I haven't let the hatch open all the way yet just because I'm afraid of what it might do to the carbon fiber.

 

I ordered a shorty from jhp a month ago... I was notified May 14th that it was on back order. Still no update. I emailed them this morning

I got mine from this seller and had it in like 5 days lol

 

Apparently he just ran out of stock. He responded today and I changed it to the medium. Hopefully it does the trick. If not I guess ill be ordering somewhere else.

Thats what I have on mine. I didnt get the really tiny one cause I thought it would look goofy. The medium looks just right, and should clear the duckbill no problems

 

I hope everyone who bought this duckbill has actually read throught the posts to understand the need for a new antenna...I'll probably get 20pm's anyway...

 

Got my duckbill today heres a couple of pics on my milano red 2012. I didnt put the bolt cap things on yet (painting them black) so it kinda looks weird for now. Overall pretty impressed with the quality! A couple little pinholes, but no big deal. Picture with the hatch up shows the amount of clearance between the spoiler and my blox medium sized antenna. Enjoy!
