GI: Fiberglass Eyelids

As far as I know, I'm the only one that's ventured out to make physical eyelids. I had bought some from vinyl ones from tfb (great shape, but the white doesn't reflect the same as TW), and someone else laid down some vinyl and spray them with paint, which looks great too.

I'm selling my set in the classifieds, but I was wondering what kind of interest there would be if I made them for people. I didn't go through and finish the set I'm selling as thoroughly as I would if there's enough interest, but the pics should give you a general idea of what they'd look like. Just think more polished. I'm thinking around $40/set primed. If I can get enough interest I'll make some.

For me to buy all the different color paints and clear coat wouldn't be cost effective, plus I have nothing to set it against to even be sure it matches after I paint it. If I had to charge each person for paint and labor, the cost would go up significantly. If you really want me to paint them, I could get a quote on the paint and let you know, but i doubt you'd be interested at that price. That's why jdp and the other vendors ship out primed parts for fiberglass. Unless you just mean a standard black, not CBP. I've got some krylon laying around.

That's 4, if I can get a couple more I'll collect $15 deposits and start the production. I'd like to see 10 people committed before i start these.

Getting some shipping quotes today. Pm me your zip if you want me to check it out.

@Jamy, sure... If you let me borrow your car for a week! I need the actual headlights to lay out the fiberglass.

Oh no problem. I'll just drive down to Fl for the week.

Damn it. Oh well. I figured you'd need it but I had a sliver of hope.

I've got a set of eyelid vinyl decals for my headlights but I'd be willing to buy a physical one in case I ever have the need to pull them off.

Count me in.

Let's put a list together...

1. True Adrian
2. Hatchpat
3. Andycampero1
4. Kctitan
5.

I didn't list cocowheat or boricua_turbo because they were undecided. Like I said, I would really like to see 10 to make this happen. I'm not saying I won't do it otherwise, but to make it worth it, I'd like 10.
