Can you share your input on JDPEngineering Fit OEM Hood (09-13). I'm looking into one for my 2nd gen fit because getting my hood repainted (due to rock chips that have surface rust) cost almost as much as the new hood. Can you share how the fitment/alignment is? How has it held up over time? Is it advisable for daily driving vs getting my hood repainted?

 

I have the JDP vented hood and the previous owner recleared it before the CF started to get damaged-- you can see a spot on the passenger's side that now just looks like imperfections under the nice clear coat on top. Not as noticeable from far away. Before having it I have seen and read that the finish on the JDP(and typically all CF exterior parts) wear out due to UV exposure and it's always advisable to reclear as soon as possible so it has better protection.

I've had it for about a year and a half now and it still looks the same as before(pic when I first got the hood to recent) and this is my daily that's not parked in a garage anymore:


My Seibon CF wing is in dire need of restoration haha.
