Drive by wire

Ok I've only been driving my Fit for one day so far and the only thing that I haven't got used to yet is the electronic throttle. It makes for some rather unpredictable shifts so far as the revs seem to hang when I let off the gas.

My previous DD was an '85 BMW...everything about that car is so mechanical and it really makes you feel in touch and in control of the car.

Before buying the Fit, I had considered buying a Mazda 3. One of the modifications those guys do to their cars is providing a direct ground to one of the throttle body bolts. Many say it provides for smoother acceleration and better throttle response.

Anyone tried this with the Fit or think it may work similar to the Mazda 3?

Thanks for any opinions.

Yes, some here have done it, send them a pm. Your looking for a grounding kit, one of our vendors has one available, check in this thread...

From the looks of it T1R stuff is expensive. The Mazda 3 guys really like the Buddy Club condenser kit which is a stabilizer and grounding kit all in one. It can be had for even cheaper from Ebay. The only difference I can see is that the T1R kit includes one more wire than the Buddy Club kit.

Mine is at 225k and still going strong! It is a great car for its time, but the 17mpg wasn't cutting it for me.
