New Fit for me....and how it happend.

sup folks my names tony. ive been here a while. anyways. lol. i like incomplete sentences. okay so here we go on tuesday this week i was driving the talon to work and the engine died on the freeway. i pulled over and lo and behold ONCE AGAIN (this isnt my first talon or first engine failure) the engine was fried my temp gauge obviously failed and there was no water in my radiator and it fried my engine like a dirty dirty corn dog from the fair! oh ya thats nasty. so the tow truck driver towed me off the freeway off of ball on the 57 freeway and i got a ride over to the honda dealership and in front there was a cute little black fit so i bought that bitch! lol. there was 2 days in between but thats cuz i had to beg for a co sign lol. anyways im the new owner of a fit. i got it for 100 over invoice plus gap insurance. i wanted to get it from jdm chris but my co signer refused to drive from huntington beach to fontana to pick it up with so many honda dealerships in between. sorry chris . so yeah sorry im rambling so i am the proud owner of a 2008 NHB Manual Fit Sport. bone stock and in one day i put almost 175 miles on it haha break in should be done very shortly ....also i have questions about break in. its gone over 4k once on accident but i try to keep it around 3500 or lower is that okay for break in? also my gas milage seems to be shit but im thinking thats because a lot of that 175 miles was around town. and am hoping that i didnt get a shit fit that gives the owner hella problems. anyways what did you guys do durring your break in period and i hope to see you guys at a meet soon with my new car.

i just drive new cars normally and go easy on the brakes. your milage will improve once the
ecu adapts to the environment (air density, temps, etc) and your driving style. ofcourse
if you keep flooring it mpg will suffer.

congrats on your fit? for engine break-in, people have different opinions on how it should be done, or not done at all. i just drove mine smoothly like i was taking a driving test at the dmv. i went over 4000 maybe a couple of times too, but i never mashed on the throttle to get there.

here is the deal with that. i really really wanted the gti but insurance on a sports car (ive had my licence only 4 years and and under 25 and a boy) plus premium gas being close to 350 PLUS an almost $400 payment PLUSS!!! 80 dollar oil changes just didnt make sence i tried and tried to convince myself but i knew it was to unrealistic. sooooooo i got the fit. i am pissed tho cuz i was so looking forward to be able to buy the 09 fit this summer but i needed a car now and i didnt want another beater. i wanted something reliable that i wouldnt have to worry about for a long ass time so i got my fit. the dealership i got it from is tight tho idk if all honda dealers do this but mine does every other oil change for free for the first 100k miles so every other 5k miles i get a free synth oil change. so ppl who are like i got 2 free oilchanges well i got 10 lol. i am so mad tho that special interest started a day after i got it financed

Right on man, the 09 would be tight but the 08 is good enough. Free oil changes is sick, i wish my dealer gave me that.
Any mods planned?

Get a hood deflector or a clear bra ASAP. Congratulations and welcome to the NBP club.
