Silicone radiator hose kits, opinions?

I've seen a few hose kits here and there, but I don't recall seeing any mention of them here.

is there any reason to get them other than looks? i understand higher temp rating , and burst rating than stock seems to be the claim.

is there any reason to avoid them? safely or performance wise?

please share your thoughts.

your hoses are pretty much brand new. no real reason to replace them.

yes , I understand that , my question was not do you think my factory hoses are worn out? or do you think i Need these hoses. hehe

people buy ALL sorts of parts for their cars, (I'm sure you have yourself :P ) replacing parts that are in NO way worn out all the time.

so another question does anyone have aftermarket rad hosez?

hey no worries man, thx for posting
In my wanderings I have come across them a few places, I would have thought that some will have installed them, as there seems to be lots of "purdy" engine bays on here.

anyone have aftermarket hoses, silicone or otherwise?

i think the JDM hoses should fit our car, i mean the radiator is the same and the engine is the same, why wouldn't the hoses be the same? ben has some in his car, he's got Samco hoses.

spoke to someone more knowledgeable and will share that here in part:

Since the silicone radiator hoses are reinforced, they will keep the coolant at a more consistent pressure and flow under heat.
Also since they are made out of silicone, their life span is about 3-4 times better than the stock ones.

one set I found is here A&J Racing :: Engine :: Fit/Jazz (GD3/4) :: T1R Hyper silicon radiator hose set - Honda Fit 07-08 GD3

performs better, lasts longer , looks way cooler ....

....what to do , what to do

You will gain ALL the benefits mentioned above! These are NOT for just looks...they will HELP n' HOLD UP as stated.
Unfortunetly I would not use the EBAY route! A J's Racing is selling a quality set and would recommend FULLY!!
As stated on AJ's site;
"Made out of premium quality silicon rubber to enhance appearance and longivity. Superb integrity and superior performance reduces the risk of component failure and enables higher temperatures and pressures to be maintained with complete confidence".
Hope this helpz.

I'd be interested to know when they are in stock at AJ. If anyone sees them in stock, maybe update the thread?
