Sqeeking noise from left side

I just noticed that when im driving the car has a squeeking noise coming from what seems like the front or rear wheel area. I have no idea what it is. The car is lowered fsince last year. New rims since last year. Everything is fine until now.

I'm afraid if i take it to the dealership they will say that b/c I lowered it that voids the warranty.

I need to find someone to change my springs back to stock then I can take it back to the Dealership.

Anyone in the VA/DC/MD area can help me change them back to stock?

You mean the Lug nuts? I didn't install the springs (don't know how) so I wouldn't know if the other stuff is loose or not. It's really getting on my nerves right now, it almost sounds like two pieces of metal rubbing together when I drive.

is it happening when just driving straight and cruising or only on bumps?

and yes, recheck the lug nuts too.

It happens all the time. but when i turn the wheel to the right. it stops. I'm going to take the wheel off and clean the area. Hopefully it just dust and crap on it.

check your brake pads. is it real low? it could be the low-pad indicators making the metal scratching noise. (metal scratching noise right?)

also, with wheel off, check for any unusual tire wear. could be tire rub, but not llikely.

I actually notice that I have tire wear on the inside of the front left tire. I didn't check the other tires but I'll check. I'll also rotate them. Front to back.

To see if the noise changes to the back. I found a shop that can look at it for me and if its something simple he said hes not going to charge me. (Sounds like a GREAT shop already!)

I just got back from the mechanic. He said it shouldn't be a problem. He pushed the round piece behind the rotor back and said that this is the peice that he thinks is rubbing against the rotor. I drove away and there was no sound... No I hear it again every so often. So maybe that was it. Oh and I didn't have anything. maybe I can take a pair of pliars and push it back so it doesn't touch.

It could be something that needs lubrication. On my 2001 Civic, i had some sqeaking noises too, and my mechanic sprayed lube around where the sound was coming from (strut area) and it went away for good!

Yeh I bought some white ____ ____ something grease stuff. I'm going to spray the strut area down tomorrow when I jack up the car.

left tire noise

I have the same problem, but only when I turn. I especially hear it when I turn all the way right from a stop posistion.

Yes I guess its the rotor dust shield. its the bigger circle thing behind the rotor.

he tried pushing it back. Is there a way to KEEP it back? (not sure if this is the problem though but worth a try)

I'm going to jack up the car after work and rotate the tires (front to back) and then spraying down everything with the White lithium grease.
