Where do you get Fit engine cover?
Sorry I don't know the proper term for it, but I was at the dealership today purchasing my '09 Fit and when we took a look under the hood there was no "cover" or "shield" over the engine. It was much more exposed than what I've seen in a lot of your pics. I assumed that this was a standard part that most of you just had custom painted. Now I figure it must be an aftermarket part. What do you call it and where do you get it? Thanks!

Ah, that explains the confusion. Thanks man! Guess I'll have to live without it unless someone can come up with an aftermarket piece. It's obviously not important, just thought it was cool.

Not likely there isn't anyplace to attach it to. The GD has a bracket that also serves as the attachment for the alloy intake runner to the plastic portion. The GE intake manifold is different than the GD and lacks the mounting bracket, hence, no mani cover. To the OP: why don't you paint the upper portion of your manifold? You could be first!

Hey can anyone post up a picture of the engine on the 2009? It is hard to believe no manifold cover - gez what are the 2009 Fit owners suppose to do about rocking a painted one.

The engine on '09 Fits are completely different from 1st.gen Fits. No cover is necessary because there is nothing to cover. Actually the covers on the earlier engines were unnecessary as well- just a style issue.
