Warranty problem!
In the US, they have legislation protecting consumers rights to modify their cars. But if the modification causes something related to wear quicker, it's your problem.
If you install lowering springs and the ball joints wear out, that would be your problem. If you lower your car and the motor starts consuming oil, that would be a warranty repair.

That's why Fit owners need to be informed. I was told by the Customer Relations for Honda that 80% of the answers to the questions customers ask about their Hondas are contained in the owner's manual. If you have to choose between what the dealership is telling you and the manual, always, that's always, go with the manual.
Prob?
I did some mods on my Accord Coupe V6 which included Eibach Sport springs and as I understand American Honda and SEMA: the only warranty prob is if you do something to the car and they can prove that what you did broke the car then...
The only thing I am going to do to my new FIT is prob a sport muffler, rear wing and an intake when they become available. The aftermarket muffler should be cheaper than the DEALER!! which is $300 + dollars...
I have the base FIT and I purposely bought it so I could do my own mods.
