Performance parts by Skunk2...not anytime soon.

i know that a lot of us are dying for a skunk2 manifold or throttle body, cam etc. but unfortunately i have this to share with everyone..

"To the best of my knowledge there are no engine performance parts currently under development for the L15 engine found in the 07-08 Honda Fit. While I would not rule out the possibility that some might be developed in the future, I can assure you that it will not be any time soon as that type of development takes a
lot of time.

If you have any more questions regarding Skunk2 products or policy please let us know. "

Not surprised, they were promising us an affordable rear disc long long ago and backed out on that.

yet suprising in the sense that they have their own fit, usually when a company has its own car, they take a preference to developing parts for it, its a shame we cant at least get a manifold or something.bummer...

I agree, but when you look at the grand scheme of things the number of Fit's produced for the American market was pretty low, and the number of Fit's being driven by people that will modify them is even lower. Compare that to Civic's and Integras and that number of those is huge and parts interchangability is also present. Its probably a smart business decision for them.

yeah youre probably right, though they did see it fit to produce a pretty nice coilover setup for the fit. and fairly quickly too. wish theyd put the same effort into a few performance parts. guess its just wishful thinking on my part, i had a skunk2 mani on my h22 civic and prelude and i absolutely loved it.

Yeah, problem is development for engine performance and suspension performance are 2 different ball games. Maybe with enough names on a petition they'd jump on the ship.

You know what that means? We'll just have to do it ourselves!
