shop manuals?

Hi guys,
I am new to the forum and a new Fit owner. I just bought a 2010 Fit Sport and was wondering if anybody makes a good shop manual for them. Haynes and Clymer manuals are a joke.

I have access to portions of the shop manual. Are you looking for something specific?

I have a set of Honda service manuals for my 2007 model I picked up from another FitFreak.. It is an expensive but very complete manual that has saved me a lot of time and worry... You might check with Majestic Honda since they are supposed to give some sort of price break to FitFreaks... I agree with you about the quality of the information in cheap manuals. I've had my Fit since July 2006 and have performed all of the maintenance on it and lots of performance modifications myself, a lot of the stuff I couldn't have without the manual.

I suggest that you buy the Honda Fit Service Manual from Helm Inc.

is what I've got... The only negative thing I've noticed about them is that both of my dogs like the way they taste..

Well, the REAL negative for the Honda books for the GE models is the complete lack of an index. It takes much longer to find the info. you want than it did in the books for the GD's, like yours.

Floyd Clymer and I corresponded back and forth when I was a young owner of a Royal Enfield Interceptor and inquiring about parts I'd need when I returned from Vietnam.... I wish I could have been able to say that his manuals were worth a damn... He was known as Mr Motorcycle and also as a huckster but it was neat that he took the time to write to an 19 year old Marine that was missing his motorcycle something fierce.

Okay, Dee, is this thread about you, or about Fit owners?

C'mon Dave, surely you know that us old veterans get weird when we go a few days without getting any sleep...

I knew there had to be something better. I had a Robert Bentley manual for a BMW that was really good. I will get the Helm manual and check it out, Thanks

You're welcome- the Helm manual contains all the info. you need on a Fit. The only pain is finding what you want. As I said, there is no index. My GE Fit manual has 20-30 sticky notes sticking out all over it to mark various pages that I have to return to often.

If you do a bit of googling for "Honda Fit ESM" you'll find at least one torrent site that has the full workshop manual for download... sorry i don't have the link anymore but it's definitely out there.

I am in search of a Chilsons/Haynes/Helms for a service manual for 2013 Honda Fit but either it doesn't exist yet or I'm not looking hard enough. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
