Chilton manual, disappointing.
Hi all,
Just F.Y.I. to other "weekend mechanics" out there. New to me, 2010 Fit Sport here and also purchased a new Chilton manual for help with repairs. Previous Chilton was for a 97 Saturn and was very happy with that manual. This new one is much, much "thinner" in size and has been very disappointing for maintenance info for people like me-----novice mechanics. Very disappointed with how much detail has been removed, illustrations missing or less detailed, etc. Of course, all sources of information are valuable, but Chilton has really "cheapened" their maintenance manual. For what it's worth, I am glad that YouTube is there for instruction, etc. If anyone has a better source of maintenance/repair manual suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Wow---what a great resource page! Thank you for sending that my way. I assume much of that info applies to my 2010 too. I did see where the oil viscosity was recommended, for the 2015 at 0W-20 whereas I "think" my manual recommends 5W-20. Close enough. :-) Will spend a lot of time with that info. Thanks again.

most of it, does apply indeed
I'm no expert on oil, but I'm in agreement that they're close enough. most may tell ya "you must use what the manual says", and that is a more reasonable way of doing things.... lol
