Accord Sport Horns
Accord Sport Horns
Just got this in the mail. No more meep meep. I assume they can be made to fit the Fit.

I got the same email. I don't think they are plug & play though. The Accord has a left and a right horn that these horns directly replace. The Fit only has the single horn. (Not counting the alarm horn). I guess you could make a harness and an additional mount for the second horn.
I looked at the parts diagram:
01-08 Fit: one horn
08-up base Fit: one horn
08-up Fit Sport: two horns (High and Low)
They are under "Control Unit (Engine Room)".
Not clear where the wiring harness parts are.
Anybody know what the horn relay is rated for? I have some old GM horns laying around...

That is correct. We have a tiny horn deep down on driver front for security alarm.
No kidding man... geez
As far as I know there is only one horn for the actual car horn. Unless sport and base are different, but I don't think they are except that the sport has the OEM alarm and thus OEM alarm horn and the base does not have an OEM alarm, so only has one horn (09-10 anyway).
I put Hella Supertones on my '10 base and there was only one horn and my aftermarket alarm is hooked up to that horn. It's cool the Supertones sound when I hit the lock, except at 3am in my super quiet neighborhood lol

These are Made In China and are OE Quality (based on the box). They are not Honda Brand.
The plug is a direct fit for plug and play. There are 2 because one is the honking horn and the other is for fits with OE alarm kit.

I went to the junk yard today in search of a better horn and found a 2005 Honda Element with a conventional-looking factory Bosch horn as opposed to the round diaphragm horn like on most Hondas. All the Honda horn plugs in the junkyard looked the same.
My '10 Fit Sport had one horn behind the grille. Didn't look for the alarm horn.
Took about 10 minutes to swap out (pop out the plastic fasteners, 12 mm socket for the horn bolt) and it was a direct plug-in. No more meep-meep. Not a dual horn, but a quick swap and no wiring modifications. Draws about 4.5 amps, so no problem for the 10 amp relay.
If you are looking to buy new, it looks like the Element used a couple of different part numbers depending on the year. I suppose either one would work, but the later horn is only $13 new.
