NYC Window Tint & Paint Protection

Hi, all:

I'm looking to get UV blocking on a 2018 Honda Fit. In New York City, the windshield and front passenger windows most have a visible light transmittance of 70%. https://dmv.ny.gov/registration/tinted-windows

Does anyone know if getting UV blocking tint such as 3M Crystalline or LLumar Air 90 would cause the visible light coming through the windows to go below 70%

My second question is what would you recommend for paint protection? Clearbra?

Thank you much.

As an update, spoke with the people at The Art of Tint. They noted that Air 80 was the darkest tint possible for passing the 70% VLT test. Will be getting that installed.

Glad you got that figured out. You'll love the tint on your Fit. My son just had his done. I'm not sure of the percentages, but it is supposed to be legal for our state.
