New (used) Fit Suggestions

I've had a 2017 Fit Sport since 2013, but tragedy struck on Friday when I was t-boned on the passenger side. Now my poor blueberry is done for at only 184K. I'd like to get another one but I'm trying to decide which year. The 08 had occasional problems, but I was able to handle the quick fixes myself (ignition coils, IAT sensor, 3rd clutch pressure switch). Having small hands helps with the tight spaces, other things such as oil changes https://100001.onl/ https://1921681254.mx/ and breaks I left to the mechanics due to apartment living.

I have a very tight budget, so anything newer than a 2020 is out. I'm considering the 09 and 10 models, but what are their weaknesses? I noticed it's a lot harder to reach behind the engine, much less see anything. I'm also open to another 08 - but the spoilers were a royal pain when it came to even small slopes and I need speed control because I do a lot of long distance highway driving.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

As someone that has all 3 generations of the Fit (as far as US goes). I highly recommend the GE8 Fit. I have a 2013 and it reminds me a lot of my 2008 GD3 which got totalled like yours.

My 2015 GK is a very different car, not in a bad way necessarily but the driving experience (especially the CVT) is a step down and not as 'connected'. Yes the interior is better and it has more power. But it also has been the more problematic one of the bunch. Currently dealing with an output shaft seal leak (presumably) and earlier had to replace the push-button ignition switch - funny how mine crapped out before the recall but that would have fixed it for free. It's still a better car than the others in its class.

Have you tried contacting them and asking them to reimburse you the out of pocket expense? Worth a shot, imo.
