UPDATE: issue was bad relay to compressor.

Honda FIT 2009-118,000 miles: I read forums on AC switch and blowers I don’t think that is my issue. 5 years ago my AC on a long road trip through the south it stopped working several hours into driving I noticed the line was frozen over when looking under the hood and then the car would only blow hot air. Once it sat for a long period it would work again. Unfortunately by the time I got to a shop as driving in middle of now where the blowers were damaged. Blowers were replaced and AC recharged; it has worked great for 5 years.

NOW new issue: several hours into driving AC went out. I looked under hood but don’t see line frozen. Next morning still blowing hot AC but then intermittently will blow cold air but for short period of time. A week later it is totally dead. I am going to change in cabin air filter changed it less than 12,000 miles ago just in case. Just looking for advice so I don’t get ripped off in terms of next trouble shooting/possible issues. Also note the defrost is totally not working which is tied to AC I assume. Appreciate everyone on this forum so much have gotten solid advice so far on other issues!
