I've been thinking about that for the last two years but haven't acquired a strut from a HR-V and a GE8 Fit donor verify with... YET.

From what I understand... The RU5/RU6 HR-V is based on the GK chassis and has a similar strut and rear shock design but of course different lengths.

Top mounts directly interchange between the GK and RU chassis going from rough memory. GK and GE suspension is identical in packaging but dampening and spring rates might be a tad different.

@buddyolepal Take a gander at this. Stumbled upon it the other night.

I just lifted mine two inches in the rear and about 1&1/4 in the front. I used insight springs and spacers. I have been trying some different types of shocks for the rear. But I have been thinking about trying the HR-V front struts with there spindles.

There are a few threads on this forum about lifting the fit and year IIRC eitehr HR-V or Insight stuff works but I think only on one axle?

The other option, that I went with, are just spacers. I got it from some Russian company, the rear ones just go above the spring instead of the OEM rubber thingie, and the front go inside the strut. I actually didn't get to install them yet but just wanted to point out that this is an option too.

Yeah that is what I went with, I used the Russian company on the front and rear 30mm spacers, the fronts went above the strut on the ones I used. I replaced all four springs with 2011 and 2010 Insight springs with new KYB struts in the front and Bilstein 5100 24-064576 in the rear, they were the closest I could find with the correct travel length and closest valve rating. I posted some pictures in a thread in suspension section. I’m at 28” in the rear at the moment and about 27 in the front.
