Pixel 6 and HandsFreeLink on 2019 Fit EX- maps?

Pixel 6 and HandsFreeLink on 2019 Fit EX- maps?
My wife just upgraded her phone and got a Google Pixel 6. She has had a Samsung S9 and it worked well with her 2019 FIT EX's HandFreeLink and Android Auto.
We easily found and added the Pixel 6, and it is possible to call and receive calls (although different than before), but the GPS doesn't show the maps on the Fit screen anymore. What are we doing wrong? Thanks for any help.
