Don't do it on public roads. Get signed up for an HPDE in your area on a local roadcourse with a very very long straightaway.

For sure do it on the track (saw your other post, thats good).

I think the main benefit of having a speedo that registers 120-140 is that at highway speeds, the needle points more or less straight up and is quicker to check your speed.

How do you find a local roadcourse? I cannot find anyone who knows where one is in my state (Mississippi.) I can't even find a paved oval.

I've gotta ask...how long does it take to get to 125? I have no question it can do it...but I'll bet you eat up a lot of ground getting to that speed! That is what is nice about a 400hp car...doesn't take much ground (distance) to get up to speed, and then bring it right back down. The Fit would certainly have a longer exposure time to higher speeds...just hope that deer or car, doesn't decide to jump out in front during a run!

I hit 115 mph

I hit 115 mph one night. I was amazed that the car did not have any vibrations or other strange noises. I would have tried to go faster but I was on the freeway at 3am and got scared. My '88 Civic Hatchback would whine and vibrate from 85- 110 mph.

shit son... yeah i think fastest i've gone is like 115 and that was on a long stretch of highway. i only have an aem intake and seriously after putting that thing on it turned my fit into a beast, lol. Adding an intake is a good choice for the fit. side note: anyone know which exhaust has the best power gains for the fit?

i heard adding the axelback gains 5hp so im guessing a catback would be around 10hp i just wanna know which exhaust is not gonna make my car sound like every civic in the united states like a lawn mower

yeah hopefully i wont turn my car into a rice burner by adding an exhaust. i think the fits engine tho responds good to bolt ons as to what i've seen with the intake so far.

aj racing's fit with intake, cat-back exhaust & pulley dyno'd 10whp gain, i think your numbers are bit too high. i'd be surprised if you get over 2 whp with just axle back

err bolt-on mods aren't really gonna help...I would think the main limiter on the Fit would be gearing...when I was at 109 the RPMs were around 5300K! puppy just needs another gear.
