140 mph is for when you get your FIT air dropped out of a C-130 transport plane. Straight down no parachute. Roll up the windows for max effect.

Terminal velocity for a sky diver is about 120 mph. If he pulls his limb in then he might be able to reach as high as 200 mph like a falcon on a dive.

Since speed limits in my area are about 45 to 55 mph I have no idea how fast a FIT can truely go. Some of the posted replies here look about right.
