To my knowledge, German drivers go through a much more extensive driving test than us. They're more capable of handling higher speeds than us.

We're just mostly stupid drivers. God forbid an American Autobahn!

The way teh speed limits for teh autobahn works, is that the speed should be resonable depending on road conditions, for example, raining, slow down. such n such. ROAD TRIP! to da autobahn! lol we can see how fast our fits go for our own selves

you know I've been meaning to look into this for a while.... what is the top speed on the fit? the speedo goes to 140, I doubt the car could make it up to those speeds. But if you had like 100 miles of straight road and an hour to kill trying to get the fit to its top speed goverener what could you get up to?

I've hit 115 about five or six times now. That sucks considering I sold my 95' Prelude VTEC that would scream along at 140.

I have been on the German Autobahn with my Jazz. And have legaly found the max speed on the car
On flat road I got up to 175km/t (about 108.74mph). But I have also got above 180km/t on a long downhill, but had to brake because of slower traffic that only was driving in 140km/t

And it is correct that most of the autobahn has a speed limit, and the stretches that most of the time has free limit is regulated electronic so when there is bad weather the speed is limited. The autobahn is some places also regulated so each lane has it own speed limit; e.g. some stretches can have 140km/t on the left lane, 120km/t on the midle lane and 90/kmt on the right lane. Trucks, trailers and bus has a 90 km/t speed limit and have always to travel on the right lane, cars with a trailer or mobilehome has a speed limit at 80km/t and have always to travel at the right lane.

inside lane ='s fast lane and further to the shoulder/larger the vehicles the slower the speed limit is Least that's how it was last time I was there...4 yrs now I think.
My fit's seen 120-125. I remember rreading that you hit redline/fuel cut off at about 130 though so yea. Once you get past 90mph or so it seems to take FOREVER to get anymore speed :P
