Replaced Radio broke Blower switch in the process

Hi, new here, owned a 2007 Honda Fit since 2007. I have had this car since 2007 when it had 200 miles and I have 208,000 miles on it and the radio started to die. The Texas heat bleached the front of the radio and I couldn't read the screen so I decided to replace it with a nice aftermarket model. In the process of pulling the assembly out which was a PITA, I broke the Blower Switch. I got a new switch BUT it appears that Honda now makes a different style of switch, one with a shorter stem that does not allow me to replace the original control knob, so after verifying that indeed installed the faceplate correctly and the radio, I ended up doing this: My question is this: Has anyone else noticed that the dashboard parts are harder to find than they were? I was told at one point that if I broke the plastic pieces behind the temp controls, I would have a hard time finding them. Boy were they right. Reminds of the Honda dealership telling me they don't make Takata parts for my airbag
