Dealerships scheduled Maintenance?

I recently was notified by the dealership that I got my 2018 Fit from that it was time for my first Scheduled Maintenance, at 3 months.

My previous car was older and I've never received such a message before, so I don't have much context for this. Are these important? A good deal? Or just a way for the dealership to milk me for more money?

I've moved since buying the car, but there is a different Honda dealership a few minutes from my new home in Michigan City, IN.

Yes!
Scheduled maintenance is determined by Honda itself - not by their dealership. Read the owners manual.
