Question Honda Fit replacement.

Guys. My beloved 2010 Fit is getting long in the tooth. It runs great but looks like hell. While I am not ready to ditch it yet, I would be foolish to not start looking for something new.

What would be the modern equivalent to the Fit in the USA?

What I love about my Fit:
Low cost of ownership. Just basic maintenance costs is all I've really had to deal with.
Reliable. It starts every time the first time. Except when I had to buy a new battery.
Good mileage. I'm getting almost 38 mpg.
13 years plus. I bought it new and is still running and except for the rust, is in great shape.
The fact that I can haul lots of "stuff" without being a truck.

When the time comes, I'll be looking to buy new.

Continental TrueContact Tour have been better for everything except fuel economy, but I've been spending too much time at 4~5K RPM lately--maybe rev limiter.

I think he's looking for a car to buy, not tires.

In any event there really is no equivalent to a Fit. The car makers have abandoned small cars. There's things like the Honda HRV but it's a lot bigger and heavier and I don't think it has the magic seats any more with the latest redesign.

Is there holes in the body and what colour is it? Blast off what ever rust and spray or brush with tremclad. I took the wheels off and did the frame then brushed on black rust paint. Cheap Paint job is better to look at than rust. Drive the car till it dies. You car even use a roller.

There are still a few hatchback cars available, but nothing matches the Fit's fuel economy and cargo capacity. The Toyota Corolla and Kia Rio hatchbacks are supposed to get gas mileage that might be close to the Fit, but they can't match the cargo space. The Kia Soul can fit a ton of cargo but gas mileage falls short of the Fit. (and I personally think they look like a dozen clowns should pile out at any minute - just personal opinion). The Subaru Impreza hatchback has comparable cargo volume to the Fit (but not as tall), good but not stellar gas mileage and all wheel drive at a decent price.

Maybe a nice, used Fiesta. But nothing hauls stuff like a GE fit.

But avoid the dual clutch automatic (Poweshift) transmission. It was plagued with failures.

IMHO a CUV or smaller vehicle like a RAV4, HRV, etc are the evolution of a fit and likely the reason the fit is gone. Very similar fuel economy, and the ingress/egress, and overall usefulness is superior imho.

You may be right. I will miss my Fit. My cost of ownership has been low and the car has been reliable and very useful for 13+ years.

Fuel economy isn't comparable. An HR-V gets about the same MPG as an Accord. Definitely not on the Fit's level. It's not bad, but CUVs and SUVs are equivalent to MPG with cars a size or 2 bigger.

Goes to fuelly and checks.2022 fit average 34.5 2022 hrv 33.4 2022 Accord 36.5 2022 CRV 30.2 and just for fun the 2022 Sienna gets 32.6 I didn't take time to look into trim levels, but I would say they are very comparable.

1) 2013 Fit with low miles.
2) 2022-2023 Civic Hatchback Sport. Comes with a 2.0 non turbo motor and you can get a 6 speed manual.
