Mirror replacement 2008 Fit Sport
Mirror replacement 2008 Fit Sport
I oryrdered a mirror, watched youtube videos, and it is very apparent that I
1. I ordered the wrong mirror, or
2. watched the wrong videos, or
3. Both.
The mirror is from Doorman, and it is for the driver's side. It has the 3 studs, which I can't even get to on my Fit. Door panel came off and the wiring is a bit more complicated than the video.
Went back and video states for 2009...I guess one year makes a huge difference. I did get the panel back on, thankfully.
Any idea where I can find the correct video and mirror?
Any help is much appreciated.

OK, so I watched a video on a 2007 civic. The fit must have the access holes somewhere...although the wiring seems to be complicated on the Fit. Looks like 2 or 3 plugs to disconnect in order to take off the door panel.
Advice would still be appreciated!

2007-2008 vs 2009-2013 are different generations. Some parts will be identical, some parts (sounds like the mirror assembly) will be different.
If you're looking for videos or tutorials or parts, look for 2007-2008 Fits. In the case of parts, there's a small chance that something changed even between 2007 and 2008, so it's always best to look for your specific car.
Try to find a 2007-2008 service manual online, which will give you step-by-step instructions for removing/installing the mirror. I think I found a link to the one I downloaded (for my 2010) here on FitFreak.

Thanks, and I'll check on a service manual. I got it figured out. The video on the civic was helpful. Went out and took the panel off again, and sure enough, the access for the bolts were in different spots, but accessible. So, other than dropping one of the nuts into the door, all went well!
