max output

alright i am having trouble find out what kind of numbers the turbo kits and superchargers are putting out on your 1.5L....i am interested to compare to what the other b-segment car can do, mostly the forgotten chevy aveo...all ive found is a dyno chart for the jackson racing rotrex supercharger fit which made around 160whp, 140 torque....is that the max output yet by forced induction on a stock block fit yet?

Skunk2 got 220whp, I believe, on their Street Tuner Challenge entry, using the stock 1.5 block, with a polished crank, and aftermarket pistons and rods, I think. This is just from memory. Their site has the specs in their PDF catalog.

only due to tuning issues. With a safe and proper tuning it shouldn't be a problem. Why do you want to hit the upper limits though?

its to see about getting a b-segment hatch competition going...and i wanted to know because our aveo forum is working on setting up serious rules to propose to everyone to try and get it setup...we want to make the rules based around what would appeal to the average tuner, like bolt on forced induction limited to stock components (so there isnt a need to spend cash on internal buildup)...our forum really wants to get something like this going because the aveo gets absolutely nothing from american companies, let alone GM, when it comes to aftermarket stuff and our car always gets left out when they talk about b-segment cars and mpg, value and the new syphon mag....theres the same amount of potential with the aveo as the fit, yaris, ect...but most people just dont have the access to the knowledge....and no mine isnt turbo, i stopped making parts for my aveo when i realized the auto trans just ruins everything lol

the aveo is a daewoo at heart man....i owned a 00 daewoo lanos and when the "all new" aveo rolled out i took a looksy since it looked like a daewoo and came out after GM bought out daewoo from bankruptcy.

early models have the korea and daewoo stamps all over it! also they still rocked the KL in the vin number.

so i would suggest looking to europe and australia for Daewoo lanos tuners (there were a lot of them) and see what you can find for the Aveo.....everything bolts up.....ive had a few aveo parts on the daewoo....no issues.

if youd like i can send you what i had done to the daewoo....made it a lot better daily driver than stock.

well it is an american car, and american cars dont last very long and are poorly made. hence the aftermarket people dont want to work on a car they have to constantly fix. the only american cars that got a good aftermarket were the old muscles.

its not an american car tho lol you didnt read the posts above....i havent had any problems with mine at all and ive had it since 04....the powerplant is used all over europe and on taxis overseas because they last long and are reliable as long as you maintain the timing belt....i mean lotus had a turn at tuning the powerplant and got 160hp na with just tuning and no reliability problems...not here to argue that..i just wanted to see what the 1.5L was doing power-wise

wait a couple more years and it will fall apart anyways the fit already has new headers, some turbo/super chargers being made, already has tons of intakes and exhausts, well theres more... lol, you didnt look hard enough on the forums. fit is the perfect hatchback, perfect interrior, good mpg, and its also speedy

I think the highest this motor will ever hit (safely and reliably) is 180 HP. After that you are going to be spending alot of money on this motor.

If you want 200+ easily, i just suggest a K20 Swap. it'll be alot cheaper, and the K20A's can go up to 300+ HP with just a turbo kit and supporting mods.

ChrisG, some people are probably tired of cat-back exhausts, too, but that is no reason to pitch a fit. Should we be discussing the dyno charts of Spoon Wristbands instead of K20 swaps? Maybe you would also like it if all car magazines switched to only publishing info on cars and parts you already have? This site should be for anybody interested in the Fit/Jazz, and encourage discussion of modifications. There is no reason at all to tell someone to shut up in all caps because they don't own a Fit.
